After years as a Juilliard-trained Broadway, film and television actor in 2020 Nick Mennell decided on a new path.  One that he had been curious about and felt called to since he was a small child:  The path of a monk, pursuing a life devoted to the highest states of consciousness and service in a monastery.  The journey was scheduled for March of 2020.  Then the world shut down.

As a result he was forced to contemplate what else was possible.  And ultimately he knew that he didn’t need to go to a monastery or an ashram or a mountain or a cave to do the work; he could do it from wherever he was.  And in fact maybe it was more important to do it from where he was.  And so he did.

Shortly after turning his Los Angeles home into a monastery, some miraculous synchronicities started to take place and some of the brightest lights and minds on this planet began to walk into his life, changing its trajectory.  He realized that all he wanted to do ultimately was to help people, so with a clarified mission he set out to do that in the best way revealed.
