If we truly believe we can alter reality, what are we doing to change it?

  • by

In a world currently filled with some pretty serious conflict and dismal doomsday predictions what impact can we, as single points of consciousness, have?   The answer to that (for me) is whether or not one believes we are part of an interconnected whole that thereby have influence on the greater whole.  And if we believe that we are what are we doing to influence it?  What are our thoughts, feelings and behaviors focused on?  And is it possible through focused intention we can shift an outcome much greater than ourselves, and even on a different side of the world?  And if it’s possible should we not devote a portion of our day to at least trying?

In actuality, there is very strong evidence that it is possible to alter the world around us. Actually, sort of irrefutable evidence. The question is more to what extent? There have been countless studies in this regard, but as others before them had found, Dr. Joe Dispenza’s team at Inner Science discovered that we can not only alter simple biological organisms (i.e. cells), complex biological organisms (i.e. people), but we can also alter non-biological organisms (i.e. computer algorithms – see this article on it here).

So if we know we can alter the physical world through thought and intention alone what are we doing about it?

Even in the progressive “New Age” communities, when we hear about manifestation and “creating reality” it’s usually spoken about with regards to the self. And I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that, the self wants what it wants for a reason also. But what about the greater world, our greater realities, at large?

It was this war in the Ukraine that had me thinking about this. Why wasn’t I spending more of my day thinking about, manifesting, intending, whatever you want to call it, peace in Eastern Europe?

The only answer I can come up with is that it’s not a front a present issue/danger. It’s far away, even when I see it on the news. And I barely watch the news. It’s not directly affecting me. But of course the day it does, all that changes.
